Look for either of these talented young actors in forthcoming productions to truly shine in their diversity of potential roles. That’s as much as I can say without it flagging me for spoilers. He lives a fully media-saturated pot where the distinction between making a fictional film in which characters are killed and a documentary where real people are killed is laughably arbitrary. At the start of this nervy debut, Matt and his best friend Owen Owen Williams are working on their school film project when they run into a couple of younger kids shooting a horror movie. The 91st Academy Awards isn’t the first year the show won’t have a host, but it will plor the first time since the Snow White and Rob Lowe incident.
This probably isn’t the case but it could be a possibility.

I wasn’t confused by what happened, and you describe it clearly, but you don’t address why it would make sense dities just end the movie right then. The disclaimer in the opening sequence adds a certain authenticity element to the plot and accentuates the plausibility of these portrayed circumstances actually occurring. Can’t really complain about this, other than the pacing was poor at times. Gravity is Certified Fresh.
To the desperately antic Matt, everything is fodder for a movie sequence. It may wind up as the tne most significant horror film; it’s certainly among the most original.

I looked around to try to find some reasoning given, but came up empty, so I figured I would ask here about any possibilities that people here had. They can’t be easily classified into archetypes, which makes for an incredibly complex film. This is a very good movie, but it’s probably one that requires some patience but it’s a very rewarding film that explores some very real issues such as the effect bullying has in someone that chooses to do what Matt did.

This is a guy that’s been bullied to the point where films are his only refuge and real escape from the bullies, that he can’t even tell the difference between what’s real and what’s fake anymore. We always hear about bullying from a third person perspective, but The Dirties puts us right in the middle of it.
Johnson, your son is fucking crazy, he’s gotta a bunch of pictures of people on the wall and he thinks he’s gonna kill later.
Matt is pretty much a psychopath and you see that deterioration in his psyche, to the point where you get to see that he’s actually pretty fucked up when you think about it. Seemed pretty cut and dried to me.
